Delete Run Command History

  1. First of all Press Windows Key + R, then type regedit and then press enter.
or 
Click on Start button then type regedit and then press enter.

2. Now on the registry editor windows Navigate below key-:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Currentversion\Explorer\RunMRU

3. Now you see that, many string values such as a,b,c,d,e. Each string value contains a specific run command. Now Right-Click on string value which command you have to delete.
In my case, i have to delete Prefetch command, then i will Right-click on string value “e” then click on delete. then it will ask for confirmation then click on Yes.

4. If you want to Delete All Command from list, then Right-Click on MRUList then Click onModify…

5. Now Edit String Dialog box will prompt, Now you will have to erase String Value from Value Data: field. Then Click on OK.

6. Close registry editor Windows.
Now you will see that Run command History has been deleted.
